The Los Angeles Times notes that The Missing Lynx: Paws on the Run is in the middle of a screening run in Los Angeles to make it eligible for an Academy Award for Best Animated Picture. It will replace Evangelion 1.0 (You Are Not Alone) as the 16th film eligible for nomination, meaning the race for the Oscar will be between five films rather than three. The new Evangelion movie was disqualified from Oscar consideration this year because it opened in Japan in 2007.
