TELETOON Announces November 2009 Programming Highlights

TELETOON has announced their November 2009 programming highlights. On the main TELETOON network, Ben 10: Alien Swarm will air along with new episodes of Ben 10: Alien Force, along with new episodes of Hot Wheels: Battle Force 5, The Marvel Super Hero Squad Show, Total Drama Action, and 6TEEN. TELETOON Detour will host new episodes of The Venture Bros., Robot Chicken, and Morel Orel. Finally, TELETOON Retro will have air classic episodes of Top Cat, The Huckleberry Hound Show and Transformers.

ALIENS SWARM TELETOON THIS NOVEMBER
Toronto – Fans of the hugely popular animated series Ben 10 will have the opportunity to see the famed teenager in a whole new way this month when TELETOON premieres Ben 10: Alien Swarm as the TELETOON Big Ticket Movie on Saturday, November 28. In anticipation of the premiere, TELETOON will broadcast an evening of back-to-back Ben 10 programming including two Ben 10 specials and a brand new episode of Ben 10: Alien Force on Saturday November 21.
Elsewhere in the schedule this November, Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II air as the TELETOON Big Ticket Movie and new episodes continue in Action Force and 3 Hours of Really, Really, Really Awesome.
Ben 10 Alien Swarm
At 7 pm on Saturday, November 28, The TELETOON Big Ticket Movie will be the Canadian broadcast premiere of Ben 10: Alien Swarm, the brand new live action Ben 10 movie. Directed by Alex Winter, this long-awaited new film follows Ben as he attempts to prevent an alien threat from destroying the earth. Joining him are Gwen and Kevin as well as Elena, a mysterious young woman from Ben’s past. Ryan Kelly stars as 16-year-old Ben, while Barry Corbin (No Country For Old Men) takes over the role of Grandpa Max.
Leading up to the premiere of Ben 10: Alien Swarm, TELETOON broadcasts an evening of back-to-back Ben 10 adventures on Saturday, November 21. Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix kicks off the special programming at 5:30 pm. In this 2007 animated special, Ben inadvertently sets off the self-destruct function of the Omnitrix. In order to prevent the subsequent destruction of the galaxies, he must travel through time to track down the watch’s creator. At 7 pm, an evil alien is searching for a dangerous device and it’s up to Ben and cousin Gwen to stop him in Ben 10: Race Against Time,the hit live action special from 2007. Capping off the evening at 8:30 pm, Gwen faces off against an old rival in a brand new episode of Ben 10: Alien Force.
Fans looking for even more Ben 10 have a chance to win toys and games as well as videogames system in the Ben 10 Mega Toy Prize Pack Contest beginning on November 2on teletoon.com. The contest closes on November 16.
Who You Gonna Call?
This November, TELETOON broadcasts Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II as the TELETOON Big Ticket Movie on two consecutive Saturdays.
On Saturday, November 7 at 7 pm, Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray star in Ghostbusters. This 1985 classic follows three parapsychologists as they protect New York City from paranormal creatures.
Ghostbusters II is the TELETOON Big Ticket Movie on November 14 at 7 pm. The Ghostbusters are out of business and, due to a restraining order, no longer permitted to bust ghosts. But when Dana (Sigourney Weaver) gets into some trouble of the supernatural variety, the old crew springs into action once again. Also starring Rick Moranis.
All-New Action Force
New episodes continue in Action Force this November. On Sunday, November 8 at 8 am, Zemerik uses Zug in an attempt to infiltrate the Battle Force in a new episode of Hot Wheels: Battle Force 5. In a new episode of The Super Hero Squad Show at 8:30 am, the Hellicarrier is totalled, leaving the Squad with no place to crash.
Drama, Action and Mini-Golf
On Thursday, November 19, 3 Hours of Really, Really, Really Awesome features back-to-back new episodes of Total Drama Action as well asa new episode of 6TEEN. In Total Drama Action at 7:30 pm, a familiar face returns just in time for a week of rock ‘n’ roll–themed challenges. In another new episode of Total Drama Action airing at 8 pm, it’s girls against boys in a Kung Fu challenge. In a new 6TEEN at 8:30 pm, sparks fly between two unlikely members of the gang during the “Mini Make-Out Golf” event organized by Jonesy.

TELETOON AT NIGHT EXPLORES THE SILLIER SIDE OF SCIENCE FICTION THIS NOVEMBER
Toronto – Wacky aliens andwashed-up science fiction stars? Check. November is Space Oddities Month on TELETOON at Night, with every Thursday night dedicated to a space-themed movie beginning at 10 pm. The Space Oddities Month selection includes Mars Attacks!, Spaceballs and the TELETOON at Night premiere of Battlefield Earth.
Viewers looking for action can tune in tothe Friday Feature everyFriday at 10 pm this November, airing high-octane movies inspired by animated characters, including The Crow and Aeon Flux.
On TELETOON Detour, new episodes of fan favourites Venture Bros., Moral Orel and Robot Chicken, among others, air after 10 pm on Saturday and Sunday night.
Space Oddities Month
On Thursday, November 26, the TELETOON at Night premiere of Battlefield Earth is the Space Oddities Month movie at 10 pm. In this film starring John Travolta and Forest Whitaker, humans fight to reclaim their freedom after a thousand years of enslavement by a brutal race of aliens.
Jack Nicholson is the inept President of the United States attempting to fend off an alien invasion in Mars Attacks! on November 5 at 10 pm. Glenn Close, Pierce Brosnan and Michael J. Fox also star in this 1996 spoof directed by Tim Burton.
On November 12 at 10 pm, Spaceballs, the Mel Brooks cult classic starring John Candy, Rick Moranis and Bill Pullman is the Space Oddities Month pick on TELETOON at Night.
The washed-up stars of a long- cancelled science fiction show are asked for help by real aliens at a fan convention in Galaxy Quest,the Space Oddities Month movie selection on Thursday, November 19 at 10 pm.
TELETOON at Night Friday Feature
On the night after Guy Fawkes Night, Natalie Portman and Hugo Weaving star in V For Vendetta, the Friday Feature on November 6 at 10 pm. Based on a graphic novel by Alan Moore, the film follows a mysterious freedom fighter named “V” and his young protégée as they fight to liberate a dystopic Britain.
A musician comes back from the dead to avenge his and his fiancée’s murder in The Crow, starring Brandon Lee. This 1994 movie based on the comic book of the same name is the Friday Feature on November 13 at 10 pm.
Dedicated to fighting greed and corruption, Billy Zane is the eponymous character in The Phantom, the Friday Feature on November 20 at 10 pm. Catherine Zeta-Jones also stars.
Four hundred years in the future, the majority of the world’s population has died out and the surviving humans are ruled by a congress of scientists. Aeon Flux (Charlize Theron) is a rebel sent to assassinate a government leader, but along the way she uncovers secrets that lead her to question everything about the world in which she lives. Aeon Flux is the Friday Feature on November 27 at 10 pm.

In a new episode of Moral Orel at 11 pm on Saturday, November 7 Orel heads to the school’s annual “Arms Length Dance.”
At 11 pm on Sunday, November 8, Deborah Golden’s medical experiments seem like a good idea until her subjects discover the side effects in John Callahan’s Quads!
November 13 – November 19
A family of destructive robots take over the house in a new episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force at 10 pm on Saturday, November 14.
In Rick and Steve: The Happiest Gay Couple in the World on Sunday, November 15, Dana goes into labour, while Evan becomes an internet sensation. The episode airs at 10:30 pm.
November 20 – November 26
In a new episode of Metalocalypse on Saturday, November 21 at 11:30, William Murderface creates the “Nascar-type Theatrical Hybrid Event” while Skwisgaar and Toki attempt to get their drivers licenses.
Chode’s grandfather pays the crew a visit on the same day that Gus is replaced by an upgraded and much more sinister version in Tripping the Rift at 11:30 pm on Sunday, November 22.
November 27 – December 3
In a new episode of Robot Chicken at 10 pm on Saturday, November 28, the creators explore what would happen if the Justice League of America implemented “Bring a Sidekick to Work Day.”
On November 29, Jack Black guest stars in Clone High. In the episode airing at midnight, chaos ensues when the students of Clone High discover the mind-bending possibilities of smoking raisins.

CHOO-CHOO FINDS LOVE AND THE DINOBOTS BREAK FREE ON TELETOON RETRO THIS NOVEMBER
Toronto – Choo-Choo’s romantic prospects start looking up, Huck heads to Hawaii and the Dinobots switch over to the dark side in new classic episodes of TELETOON Retro shows Top Cat, The Huckleberry Hound Show and Transformers this November.
Also this month on TELETOON Retro, new episodes of Inspector Gadget, The Yogi Bear Show, Josie and the Pussycats plus Captain Caveman continue to air throughout the schedule.
November 6 – November 12
In a new classic episode of Inspector Gadget on Friday, November 6, Penny and the Inspector must stop Dr. Claw from destroying all the world’s forests. The episode airs at 8 am and 7:30 pm.
At 11 am and 8:30 pm on Saturday, November 7, Yogi’s fairy godmother grants him his greatest wish and an old girlfriend comes into town in a new episode of The Yogi Bear Show.
November 13 – November 19
At 7 am and 6 pm on Saturday, November 14, the Autobots lose control of the Dinobots, leading to an alliance between the Dinobots and the Decepticons in a new classic episode of Transformers.
Choo-Choo shows his bravery when he saves his crush from a mugger but her boyfriend still stands in the way of his plans for romance in a new episode of Top Cat on Friday, November 19 at 11 am and 8:30 pm.
Betty and Wilma are determined to find out what goes on at Fred and Barney’s lodge, so they sneak into a meeting dressed like men in The Flintstones on Saturday, November 14 at 11:30 am and 9 pm.
November 20 – November 26
In Josie and the Pussycats on Sunday, November 22 at 11 am and 8:30 pm, Melody stumbles upon a powerful ancient Chinese coin, making the Pussycats the target of a dangerous enemy.
On Wednesday, November 25 at 11 am and 8:30 pm, Huck heads to Hawaii to host a luau, but winds up in a heap of trouble when the pig he intends to roast escapes in a new classic episode of The Huckleberry Hound Show.
November 27 – December 3
A spritz of Beetlejuice’s cologne has an interesting effect on Lydia in Beetlejuice on Friday, November 27 at 2 pm and 11:30 pm.
In Fraggle Rock on Thursday, December 3 at 10:30 am and 2:30 pm, Boober runs away in an attempt to find some peace and quiet.
