UPDATE "The Transformers" Are Back and Coming to DVD

Tvshowsondvd.com reports that Shout! Factory is re-releasing the original Transformers cartoons, just in time for the 25th anniversary of the show and the upcoming movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
Shout! Factory and Hasbro are releasing The Transformers - The Complete First Season: 25th Anniversary Edition. It's a three disc set containing all 16 episodes from the first season as well as bonus features.
The box set will arrive in stores on June 16th, 2009.
UPDATE April 2nd:
Tvshowsondvd.com reports the bonus features for the revamped Transformers: Season 1 include:
- Triplechanger: From Toy to Comic to Screen: The Origins of the Transformers
- Printable Transport to Oblivion script
- Rare PSAs
- Archival Hasbro toy commercials
- Autobot magnet
And all 16 episodes are digitally restored to their original broadcast with a new stereo soundtrack created from the original audio.
