Lucasfilm has announced multiple avenues of digital distribution for their new CGI animated TV series Star Wars: The Clone Wars:
  • New episodes will be available at the Apple iTunes Store on the Saturday after their premiere on Cartoon Network, costing $1.99 per episode or $39.99 for a season pass. "Ambush" and "Rising Malevolence" are available now, along with a "making-of" featurette available as a free download.
  • StarWars.com and CartoonNetwork.com will offer streaming video of new episodes for free, starting on October 10, 2008. Episodes will be available one week after their broadcast debut, with two episodes available for viewing at any given time.
In addition, a free Clone Wars podcast will be available on iTunes and StarWars.com to provide behind-the-scenes information, and StarWars.com will offer a free online graphic novel that will introduce each new episode of the show.
