Tvshowsondvd.com reports that two classic Filmation toons are coming to DVD. The New Adventures of Superman: Season 1, and The New Adventures of Batman: The Complete Series will be out on June 26.

The New Adventures of Superman will be a 2 disc set containing 36 classic episodes of The Man of Steel in action. It also introduces villians like Brainiac, Toyman, and Lex Luthor to animation for the first time. It also contains the featurette: Superman in '66.

The New Adventures of Superman was the first big hit for Filmation Productions, and aired on CBS in 1966. The show features the voices of Bud Collyer as Superman, Joan Alexander as Lois Lane, Ted Knight (The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Too Close for Comfort) as Perry White, and Jackson Beck (Popeye, G.I. Joe) as the show's narrator.

The New Adventures of Batman will be a 2 disc set containing all 16 episodes. The show features the Dynamic duo of Batman & Robin dealing with The Joker, The Penguin, Catwoman, and a mischeivous imp named Bat-Mite. It also contains 2 episode commentaries, and the featurette: Dark Versus Light: Filmation and the Batman.

The New Adventures of Batman aired on CBS in 1977 and later became part of The Batman/Tarzan Adventure Hour, which became part of Tarzan & the Super 7 for CBS, and after that Batman & the Super 7 for NBC. This was the second time that Filmation did a Batman cartoon since 1968, the first feature Olan Soule & Casey Kasem as the voices of Batman & Robin whom later voice the characters on the Superfriends.

The show features the voices of TV's first Dynamic Duo, Adam West as Batman and Burt Ward as Robin. The show also features the voice of Melendy Britt (She-Ra: Princess of Power, and Princess Aura from Flash Gordon) as Batgirl, the late Lennie Weinrib (H.R. Pufnstuf, and the original voice of Scrappy-Doo) as the Joker, Penguin, and Commissioner Gordon, and Lou Scheimer as Bat-Mite.

Both box sets will be out in stores on June 26.
