By Ed Liu
09-29-2006, 5:25 PM

USA Today's Pop Candy weblog has published an interview with Peter Cullen, best known to animation fans as the voice of The Transformers' Optimus Prime. Cullen delves into how he landed the role, the influences that he pulls in for his performance, and the status of his role as the voice of Optimus Prime in the live-action movie currently in production.

(via Mark Evanier's weblog, where he also notes voice actor ghettoization in Hollywood and the surprising money-making power of voice actor Frank Welker)
