"Crayon Shinchan" Debuts on Adult Swim August 19; Dorkin Talks Adaptation

Heidi MacDonald's The Beat weblog notes that Crayon Shinchan will debut on Adult Swim on August 19, 2006 at 10:30 PM. The lead character Shin Chan is often referred to as the "Bart Simpson of Japan," with a penchant for relentless mocking of his parents and societal mores. MacDonald also links to frank comments made by writer Evan Dorkin on his weblog about the adaptation.
