Newsarama.com's latest "Animated Shorts" column interviews The Venture Brothers' creator Jackson Publick on season 2 of the cult hit show on Adult Swim. Among other topics, Publick details plans for the new season in the wake of the surprise ending to the first season, praises his creative collaborators, and credits the fans for convincing Adult Swim to green-light the second season.

Other topics covered in the column include the recent announcement that classic Popeye cartoons will be coming to DVD, the box office results for Disney/Pixar's Cars, Nickelodeon's Father's Day programming, and FUNimation's distribution deal with Verizon Wireless.
