Rhino Records has just added anew title to their list of upcoming releases: The City OfSoundsville: Themes From The Powerpuff Girls. The album is set tobe released on September 4, 2001. No other details are given.

Also, Rhino has pushed back the release date for the read-alongcassette of The Powerpuff Girls:Mojo Jojo's Rising from June 16th to June 19th.

We now have an update on an earlier report regarding Rhino's 2-CDLooney Tunes collection, That's All Folks! Cartoon Songs FromMerrie Melodies & Looney Tunes (scheduled for release 8.21.01),courtesy of Jon Cooke'sLooney Tunes and Merry Melodies Page:

The set will feature songs and scores from many classic cartoons, including the complete soundtracks to six cartoons ("Katnip Kollege","Have You Got Any Castles?", "Book Review", "What's Opera, Doc?","The Three Little Bops", and "Back Alley Op-Roar"). The set will alsoinclude "I Love to Singa", Daffy singing "The Merry-Go-Round BrokeDown", a montage of Bugs Bunny singing over two dozen of his songs, and much more. The CD set will be packaged with a 100 page bookcomprised of historical animation essays and original art from actualimages of production cels, lobby cards, background art and more.

There is no further update yet for Rhino's upcoming Looney Tunestitle Crash! Bang! Boom! The Best Of Warner Bros. According to Rhino, DVDAUDIO titles include features which are "accessible ONLY with a DVDAudio player, a recently introduced piece of technology (as opposedto standard DVD players). FYI, most DVD Audio player [sic] can alsoplay DVD video as well as standard CDs."
