Vicki Tracy, editor of Animation Artist Magazine, was kind enough to provide us
with permission to reprint the following article on the Annies:The 28th Annual Annie Awards were held
Saturday night by ASIFA-Hollywood and the big
winners were Toy Story 2 and Fantasia 2000. While the way the awards are
decided have been brought into question by certain oversights, particularly last year when
Glen Keane was not recognized for his work in Tarzan, the Annie Awards still remain
the only major ceremony that recognizes animation talent. While this year's awards weren't
