Schedule
Changes for February 12th
Mon Jan 31
10:29:47 2000
According
to Clicktv.com, the
schedule for Kids' WB! on February 12th is:
8:00 - The New Batman/Superman Adventures
8:30 - Pokémon
9:00 - Batman Beyond
9:30 - Pokémon
10:00 - Pokémon
10:30 - Men In Black
11:00 - Detention
11:30 - Tiny Toon Adventures
Please note, the schedule can change if Kids' WB!
decides to change it, but that seems unlikely. I think
Max Steel will premiere in the 9:30 Pokémon slot. I
doubt Kids' WB! will premiere Max Steel at a 11:30
timeslot, especially since it's lead-in is Detention,
which is a comedy series and Max Steel is
action/adventure. Nice move for Kids' WB! moving Men
In Black since Men In Black's ratings have skyrocketed
in the 10:30 timeslot, with it's lead-in of Pokémon.
Only the future will tell.

Dini: X-MEN
Not at WB Animation
Fri Jan 28
16:50:37 2000
According to comicscontinuum.com,
X-Men: The Series WILL air on Kids' WB! next fall, but
will not be produced by WB Animation. Paul Dini had
this to say about X-Men: The Series when he spoke to comicscontinuum.com:
"Here's all I know," said Paul Dini,
producer of Batman, Superman and Batman Beyond at
Kids' WB!, "Kids' WB! will probably buy and run
X-Men, but the production will be done elsewhere.
"The look of the show will probably be that of
the currently filming live-action movie, and no one on
our art or writing staff is involved with its
creation.
"Seriously. It's like Pokémon. Our network is
running it, but we ain't makin' it."

Max Steel
premieres February
Thu Jan 20
13:44:47 2000
According to AnotherUniverse.com,
Max Steel will premiere February. I haven't seen any
promos for the show as of yet (but heck, I haven't
watched Kids'WB! for a few weeks), but I heard someone
saw some promos for it anyway. Just thought I'd
mention that.

Superman on
Batman Beyond
Thu Jan 20
13:35:51 2000
Animated Shorts @ Mania
Magazine has a column of Paul Dini speaking on the
future of Batman Beyond and Superman. In
it he says that sometime this year, Kids' WB! will air
the one-hour series finale of Superman. He also
mentioned that next second, Batman Beyond's
third-season, will be it's last. He is on work next
season's episode, including the series-finale
starring, guess who....Superman! This is what he had
to say on the BB-Superman teamup,"We just started
production on that one and our plans are to make it
the finale of the third and final season," says Dini. "That's right, we end it when Superman
shows up, and he's not going to be alone. There's
going to be a lot of big surprises when that episode
airs. It's going to be an episode that a lot of fans
have wanted to see for a lot of reasons." He also
spooke on the Batman Beyond: The Movie saying
that it will answer alot of questions, and bring up
some new ones. I'm kinda bummed out though, next
season is the final season for Batman Beyond,
plus there isn't any more Batman and Superman
is ending. Well..only time will tell what happens.

Dexter's Lab:
Ego Trip Airs Saturday!
Fri Jan 14
22:11:37 2000
Whoever it was that
said they keep missing it - you've got no excuse this
time.
"Ego Trip" airs Saturday night at 7:30pm
(CST) - that's actually 6:30pm where I live, so be
sure to check your own local listings.
It really is a great cartoon, and funny too -
especially for sci-fi buffs. I'd go as far as to say
this cartoon is already a classic.
Don't miss it this time!

New H!s
(including Martin Luther King!)
Tue Jan 11
17:38:39 2000
Direct from the mouth
of TR, via a.t.a.:
One of the remaining three new episodes of "Histeria"
will premiere this coming Monday, Jan. 17. Check local
listings if you care to tune in. It premieres on
Monday for a reason -- that's the day most folks are
celebrating "Martin Luther King's Birthday,"
and Martin has a key role in this particular episode.
The other two new episodes are not scheduled yet, to
my knowledge, but have been in the can for several
months now. Kids WB plans to use them in Feb., I
believe.

Looking forward to it...I'm sure I'm not the only one

Iron Giant on
TNT, MIB's rise
Tue Jan 4
17:57:01 2000
MEN IN BLACK: THE SERIES
has been picking up steam on Kids WB! The Sony
Pictures Entertainment show has increased its ratings
by 110% since its second season last year. It has
earned a 4.2 rating with kids 2-11 and a 5.0 rating
with kids 6-11.
In a move much like a parent buying their child a toy
and then receiving money from their kids allowance for
it, Warner Bros. Features has sold THE IRON GIANT
to Cartoon Network and TNT. Cartoon Network couldn't
handle the license fee of US$3 million, so sister
Turner channel, TNT, came in to help out on a
six-month pre-Cartoon Network window. TNT will get six
runs of the critically acclaimed box-office
disappointment within that six month time period. Both
networks plan to promote the film as a special picture
that was overlooked (mis-marketed to some) at the box
office. Hopefully, everyone over at the Time Warner
family of WB Features, Cartoon Network and TNT will be
pleased once THE IRON GIANT makes it to the
less-giant screen.

Pokémon toys
gone/BB toys in early?
Tue Jan 4
11:00:20 2000
Okay,
here's some collectible news that's hopefully a little
more timely. I'm sure most of you have heard that
Burger King has had to pull all 57 of its Pokémon
toys after a 13-month-old managed to suffocate herself
with part of a Pokéball. The entire Pokémon line is
gone from BK now.
Something I'm curious about... does this mean that
they'll be starting their Batman Beyond promotion
early? One BK in my neck of the woods says that it's
still starting on Jan. 10, the other (via the
temporary sign below the marquee) says that they're
already here. Anyone know for sure what's going on? I
never eat there... plus I'm too lazy to check for
myself.

(sorry about the double post below... somehow, my
computer did that!)
It's the Brak
show!!!
Mon Jan 3
17:52:08 2000
Okay, a few of you
around here share my love of that goofy little former
space pirate cat-thing. Now, it looks like he's going
to get his own show! Well, a pilot of such, anyway.
Apparently, it's going to be a variety-style show with
Brak and Zorak (no Space Ghost) singing along with
various musical guests. Works for me! Here's what Brak
had to say about it:
The Brak Show Debuts Feb. 20 Cartoon Network
I am so tired. I've been taping my new show and
hobnobbing with the big time celebrities appearing on
my show and eating butter. I'm worn out, buddy buddy!
Television is hard. How does Space Ghost do it? Man! I
got to get in the limo and make sure the t.v. in there
is on the right channel. And then I got to get in
makeup for three hours. And people want me to sign
things like checks and their navels and babies. I got
to call Ohio and make sure they get the cable so they
can see my show. And I got to memorize my lines. What
lines? Who said that? What? What? What? And I get told
"no" a lot by the Cartoon Network people.
You can tell that they're important. They're the only
ones who bathe. Like I asked for a talking dinosaur
that sets his tail on fire and makes bunnies appear.
They said no. Then I asked for a talking house that
spins plates and rides tigers. They said no. Then I
asked for an exploding pineapple army. They said no.
Then I asked for Tom Selleck. They said no. So I had
to settle for Freddie Prinze, Jr. He's funny. He spits
when he sings.
(Zorak: Ask for an exploding cast of 7th Heaven!)
You know where I'll be that day!
