Investor Paul Allen has sold 1.2 million shares, or nearly one third of his stake, in DreamWorks Animation, the Associated Press reports.
Allen, who had invested $500 million in DreamWorks SKG when in launched in the mid-1990s, now owns about four percent of DreamWorks Animation stock.

My experience with Galaxy Rangers is quite limited. Since there were so many 65-episode, action-adventure series all launched within a few years of each other back in the eighties, only the very most popular ones made an impact in the UK. Vandals painted a ten-foot tall picture of SpongeBob SquarePants on the chimney of a historic Forest Service cabin in the Pike National Service, the Associated Press reports.

News Corporation, parent of Twentieth Century Fox and Fox Broadcasting, had third quarter net income of $2.7 billion, up from $871 million in the same quarter last year, the company said last week. Revenues rose to $8.8 billion from $7.5 billion.

Blue Sky Studios will not be getting more money from the state of Connecticut to finance a move to the state, the Stamford Advocate reports.

4Kids Entertainment suffered a net loss of $6.4 million in the latest quarter, up from a loss of $205,000 in the year-ago period, the company said today. Quarterly revenues were flat at $15.0 million.
The company blamed the increased loss on a fall in licensing revenues and a sharp increase in sales and administrative expenses related to its new Chaotic trading card game.

Cereal-box characters will come to CG life in Cereal Heroes!, a just-announced feature film from Fable Works and Sparx Animation.

DreamWorks Animation will distribute a digitally remastered print of Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa to IMAX theaters for its November 7 release under a deal announced by the two companies today.
